We have had a report of the BurnInTest 3D test crashing on Windows 8.1 (64 bit). The report is when BurnInTest is run on Gigabyte and MSI motherboards, Intel integrated HD graphics, Intel 7 series (example Z77) chipset and Intel 8 series (example Z87, H87 and B85) with Ivy bridge or Haswell CPUs. BurnInTest will crash after 1-2 seconds of running the 3D test. This is with a single display and default graphics settings.
We have looked into the crash information for this problem and have found that the crash occurs in the Intel graphics device driver: igdumdim64.dll. Specifically it has been noted that the latest Intel graphics device driver, version: 15.31.17.64.3257 has this problem.
The drivers delivered with Windows 8.1 resolve this problem:
Working driver: 10.18.10.3316, driver date: 01.10.2013
