Trim only slightly improves performance (after the drive has been in use for a while). It shouldn't really effect reliability testing regardless of if it is done or not.

In a raw file system, there is no file deletes (as there are no files), so there should be no trim.

    WinPE BurnInTest 7.1 SSD

    BurnInTest Team,

We have a bare metal server with Intel SSD's installed. It is running just the standard bootable ISO with WinPE based on Windows 7 64-bit. When running the hard drive tests against the SSD's will it automatically enable TRIM? If not then how would you enable TRIM?

Is it OK to run the tests without TRIM since it is a RAW file system?
