    No, they don't use exactly the same code base. But there is some copy / pasting of code in more recent releases. Especially for things like collecting system information.

    This is mainly due to historical reasons (they were developed separately) and also because BurnInTest runs in Windows / Linux, while MemTest86 has to run without any operating system. It runs directly on the UEFI firmware layer.

    Does the BurnInTest RAM test uses the Memtest86 code-base, or the reliability is not the same of using the standalone MemTest86?
