This is just a note that other people might find useful.
If all of the following conditions are met,
1) The 2D graphics test active
2) The Lines and Bitmap option selected
3) A screen saver is active.
Then you might see one or all of the following errors when the screen saver activates.
2D Graphics Failed Windows call - Shapes
2D Graphics Failed Windows call - Bitmaps
2D Graphics Failed Windows call - Line Drawing
It is debatable if this is expected behavior or not. In a sense it is reasonable to not draw stuff to the screen if the screen saver has taken over the screen.
These errors do not indicate a hardware fault in these circumstances. Disabling the screen saver should remove the errors.
