Power plan settings and RAM in wrong slots can make a significant performance different.

Thx Dave!
I read up a little bit, wandered off a little too, but I ended up setting the Power plan to High performance mode, turned off the VT & Mgmt engine in BIOS, tweaked my Nvidia controls a bit, and put the RAM in slots 1 and 3... Final Score.... 8859!

Average benchmark for a 6700K is 8971. So your score is a bit low.
There is a page here covering the common performance issues. This is a good place to start.

CPU below average testing
Hi everyone, I've been a member for a while, but this is my first post.
I bought a barebones HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF to put together for my daughter. Using the integrated video, I installed an Intel i7-6700k processor,32 Gb of G. Skill RAM, a 256 Gb WD SN530 NVMe drive, and a 2 Tb WD Black HDD forr apps and storage. It runs well, certainly not a screamer, but the CPU is testing a 7735 score (38th percentile).
My qestion is, why is my CPU not testing at least a 50% average? What would make it perform so poorly and what should i look for to improve it, or is that even possible?
Thx in advance,
Billy from TX
