  • Should I be concerned?

    Hi,

I'm sort of a computer newbie but I've managed to run Memtest86 (via a bootable usb stick) on my Mac Pro - Intel Xeon E5-1650 v2 / 64GB total RAM (PC3-14900 DDR3 ECC 1866 MHz)
I decided to run this test because I'm experiencing sudden restarts as well as graphic glitches or short system freezes. And although Apple's own RAM error diagnostic tool gives me no errors, Memtest86 says something different.

I've started testing almost 7h ago so I'm still running it and am not sure how to post a log. But so far I have no cumulative Errors.
I do have 3 ECC errors detected during the first pass and all on the same channel/slot (test 7 and 13).
Then I have 1 ECC error on the same channel/slot during the second pass (test 6)

What can I do and should I worry? I bought these modules online and I highly doubt the vendor will answer (terrible customer care).

    Thanks!
Working...
