I suppose it could be. I may have just been overestimated the power of my PC, but if you think everything looks about right I will take your word for it!

it's the recommended settings being so low

Hi there,
I have all the latest patches installed for games. I've also looked through the post you linked and couldn't find anything specific to my case (so I think).
As mentioned, it's the recommended settings being so low that really throws me off.

The x4 965 CPU is only rated as the 79th fastest CPU available. So not very fast by current standards. But it is running OK and returning the performance expected.
The 3D video result is however down a bit on what I would expect.
See this post to start with for possible explanations.

Recent upgrade result in marginal performance? Help? :)
Hey guys,
I recently essentially rebuilt my computer in hopes to be able to run games like World of Warcraft and CoD at max settings. As it turns out, after all of these upgrades, I'm only getting 10-15 FPS in high intensity scenes on high or max settings. Furthermore, when I choose "recommended" settings, it suggests mid-range or low in some cases.
Does anyone know what could cause this based on the information below?

Additionally, I'm running a 500W power supply.
I would imagine that my Motherboard, processor, 8GIGS of ram and relatively high-end video card would translate into solid performance. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Thanks!
