In a dual channel memory motherboard, you should only use a dual channel kit eg 2x4gb. 2 separate sticks quite often cause problems.

Problem solved. It appears the second is a 2GB sdram as david assumed. So 6Gb is correct.
The bios does not show any info about shared memory for a graphics card so that would also leave some missing ram "explained".
Thx all for the feedback and suggestions. rgds Hofs.

You posted 3 screens shots of the first RAM stick, but no details on the second stick.

Maybe one of your sticks is actually 2GB?
Where are you reading these numbers from?

memory page amount of memory reported seems incorrect
Hi, I have 2x4 GB DDR3 SDRAM memory in my system.
The Total Physical Memory is reported as : 6120MB
So 4.000.000.000/1024 = 3906250 * 2 = 7812500 = 7812MB (or 7813MB
If I place only 1 x 4GB memory, it reports this 3973MB ?? (too much ??)
What is now correct ?
rgds,
HOFS
