Very slow disk speed

Seems I found it.

I just kicked out the IDE channel drivers and rebooted.
Windows reinstalled them.

Speed was fine again and SMART seemed OK again.
I made a backup anyway

Hard to know. If the SMART numbers are bad then I would start keeping good backups.

It is definitely worth investigating to try and track down the cause.

Hello

Just was running a passmark test on my harddisk.
Seems crazy, sequential read/write is like ~2.0 (yes TWO).

I remember getting a bluescreen last weekend and then scandisk fixing an error.

The smart message from SANDRA give me some strange numbers.

So is this a sign the harddisk is about to blow up?
