For browsing between images I would think disk speed, RAM and CPU would be important. 2D render speed probably also plays a small part, but I think it would be insignificant compared to the time required to read the images from disk.
RAM would be important for caching and loading a multiple large images.
For editing it is mostly the CPU, but Adobe are starting to use the GPU more as well for a limited number of functions.

Tests to consider for testing PCs for running Adobe Lightroom 4/Photoshop 6
What tests (and sub-tests) are most relevent to reflect perforamnce for running Adobe Lightroom 4 and Photoshop 6? I am looking for performance measures for Lightroom and Photoshop image navigation and editing (not so must for input or output as these are usually “batch” type activities).
