I recently upgraded to a motherboard with DDR5 memory (Corsair CMK32GX5M2A4800C40). Given a CAS of 40 and frequency of 4800 MHz, I'd expect the latency to be around 16 ns. But PerformanceTest 10.2 is measuring the latency at a whopping 46 ns.
I'm assuming / hoping PerformanceTest is just wrong, but I'd like to be sure. I'm further confused by the fact that most DDR5 memory benchmarks are in the 25ns range. I'm wondering if some people reporting benchmarks aren't using XMP, or if I'm missing something.
