Poor seq write on hard drive

My network file transfer speeds were quite low. I ran the performance tests and found my IDE hard drive had a very poor sequential write speed of 2 MBytes/sec.

So in Device Manager I uninstalled all the IDE controllers and rebooted twice. As a result, the write speed went up to 44 MBytes/sec where it should be and my file transfer speeds are now where they should be. It seems my IDE drivers were corrupt.

Thanks for this great software that helped pinpoint the problem on my system!
