  • Fault tolerance in floppy test?

    Dear Passmark,

We have been using Burn-In-Test for a while and found that most errors were due to floppy disk failure after a long period of testing. Is there any way that we can specify fault tolerance for floppy test?

    Thanks

Floppy disks have always be unreliable. You could
    1. Turn off the floppy disk test and just assume they are all are going to fail eventually during long tests.
    2. Downgrade the error in BurnInTest to just a warning
    3. Reduce the duty cycle for the floppy disk, to just do a light test in the hope the drive might survive.
