  • Using test video files with USB Drive

Hi, I am new to Burnintest and have found it a great little program,

could someone please tell me how to use the passmark sample videos when running Burnintest from a USB key, it seems to want an absolute path, but this does not work when the usb key drive letter changes depending on the number of drives/partitions.

    cheers

When running from a USB drive it is advisable to run BurnInTest with the -p command line parameter (e.g. bit.exe -p) . This parameter will force all files (e.g. configuration and log files) that would normally be saved or loaded from the User's Personal folder (ie. where the directory path has not been specified) to be saved or loaded from the BurnInTest directory. This can be useful when running BurnInTest from removable media, such as a USB drive, CD, DVD, Firewire drive etc.

So copy the video files into the BurnInTest directory on the USB drive, start BurnInTest with the -p command line parameter and then specify the video file names without a path in Preferences->Video.

    Regards,
    Ian
