    In summary you can ignore a few of these errors. If you get a lot of them, then you should be more concerned.

    Combining two topics: We have always run our main application during the burn test. Since we have changed over to V4 we are seeing a number of ATI graphics card failing with video memory corruption errors. The main application is using DirectX to display video streams on the screen. Could this duel use be causing the increase in failures that we are seeing?

    The less you have running the better, but having said that, in general running other software at the same time is not going to be a problem.

    BurnInTest uses a lot of RAM and CPU time. So any other application will most likely run very slowly. On top of this having other applications running will use some of the available RAM and mean that less RAM is available for the RAM test.
