BIT tests more than 4 GB RAM

    Dear Passmark,

Do you have anyway for BIT to test more than or equal 4GB RAM in XP pro 32bit?
Do you have any suggestion on this matter?

    Respectfully,

    Thanh Dang

If you have BurnInTest Professional 32bit, the you can use the "Address windowing extension" option to test up to 64GB of RAM, even though 32bit Windows only supports 4GB. Select this in the preferences window.

This option is not available in the standard edition of BurnInTest, and it is not required at all in the 64bit edition.

      Thanks Passmark,

Are you sure that BIT runs in XP pro which only see maximum 4GB memory can test up to 64GB RAM with the "Address windowing extension" option enabled?
My coworker suspects about this because he said BIT only tests whatever windows OSs see.

Yes you are correct. Sorry about that. You need one of the Windows Server O/S's to get past 4GB.
