  • "Not enough video memory available for test" error

    Hello,

I've found that after after opening "Configuration", "test duty cycles"
and not changing anything but hitting the OK button, that BIT will fail the 2D graphics test and report a "Not enough video memory available for test" error.

If I close and re-open BIT and just hit the start button, the 2D test will run Fine. If I go into "Configuration", "test duty cycles" and not change anything yet again, but hit the OK button again, the test will fail with the same error.

If I instead hit the cancel button instead of the OK button in the test duty cycles menu the failure does not seem to occur.

I have not verified this under XP yet, but will do so in the next day or so.

    Perhaps a resource leak?

    System specifics are:
    Win2K SP4
    BIT 5.3 (1021)
    945GME chipset
    Core 2 duo T7200

    Thank you.

Yes, its a resource leak on closing the 2D video memory test. This change was introduced in BurnInTest v5.3.1020 to resolve an access violation on closing the 2D video memory test that occurred on rare occasions. This has now been corrected in the 32-bit versions of BurnInTest, v5.3.1022. The new build can be downloaded here:

    Thanks for letting us know.
