Problem : error initializing directdraw

Hello.

I've tryid to run Burnintest V.5.3 on my computer and it keeps on failing my computer due to my 2D graphic. It says "error initializing directdraw".
I've read that in this case i should make sure I have the newest directx and that my videodriver is up to date.

I've installed the directx 9.c, and i've updated my video driver recently to a driver from October 15, 2008.
I've also read the other threads in this forum about similar problems though following doesn't seem to solve my problem.

My graphiccard/videocard is a NVIDIA Geforce 6600 GT.


Hope you can solve this problem because I sure can't.

Try using the Microsoft Dxdiag.exe utility to check that DirectDraw acceleration is enabled (Dxdiag.exe is installed as part of DirectX).

Do any other DirectX applicaitons run on this machine (e.g. games).

I've tryid to run the dxdiag.exe and my Directdraw acceleration is activated, though one of my directx files has a comment attached, it reads d3d9d.dll is a troubleshooterversion which will run slower than the version which is for sale.

I don't run anything on the computer while testing?
