  • BIT for Linux command-line version won't run Memory Test

    I'm using Debian Lenny, kernel 2.6.16.62 (x86_64).

    Every time I run the memory test (as root) it reports "error allocating RAM." Debug output is as follows:

    Tue Jan 27 14:07:49 2009 - 380479 Error memory unlocking - munlock error -> Address: 0x2aaac2aae010, Size: 0
    Tue Jan 27 14:07:49 2009 - 380528 Error memory unlocking - munlock error -> Address: 0x2aaad0000010, Size: 0
    Tue Jan 27 14:07:49 2009 - 380570 Error memory unlocking - munlock error -> Address: (nil), Size: 134217728
    Tue Jan 27 14:07:49 2009 - 380605 Error memory unlocking - munlock error -> Address: (nil), Size: 134217728

    Tue Jan 27 14:07:49 2009 - 380746 Error memory unlocking - munlock error -> Address: (nil), Size: 134217728
    Tue Jan 27 14:07:49 2009 - 380780 Error memory unlocking - munlock error -> Address: (nil), Size: 134217728
    Tue Jan 27 14:07:49 2009 - 380814 Error memory unlocking - munlock error -> Address: (nil), Size: 134217728
    Tue Jan 27 14:07:49 2009 - 380847 Error memory unlocking - munlock error -> Address: (nil), Size: 64000768

    Any ideas how I can bypass this problem?

    Thanks!

    How much total RAM and free RAM does the system have?

    Could you please send the full debug log to me at timr [at] passmark [dot] com.
