I notice that when I elect to test the NIC in v6 it tells me to connect a blue tooth device before starting tests

    Is this correct?

    thanks

No, the warning message is not correct. We have fixed it in a new revision of BurnInTest, V6.0.1010.0002:

    Thanks.

    Regards,

Thanks, I'll download the latest version - got to be a first I only upgraded yesterday. It appears the download link on the web site is an old version.

      thanks

        Hi again

just checked my version and it is the latest, when I use the check for updates it tells me that I have the latest version.

Think the bug fix might not have worked

        thanks

Maybe we should have changed the build number. Check for new version only checks Major, Minor and Build in <Major>.<Minor>.<Build>.<Revision>, e.g. 6.0.1010, but not 6.0.1010.1 to 6.0.1010.2

To see if you have revision 2 of V6.0.1010, check the bit.exe properties by right clicking on bit.exe and check that the Details tab shows a file version of 6.0.1010.2. If you see 6.0.1010.1, then you still have the old version.

Also, the new revision includes the following in the readme.txt:
          Release 6.0 build 1010 rev 2
          WIN32 release 23 June 2009
          - Correction to warning when starting the Network test.
          - Minor help file changes.

The direct links to the new revisions are:
          32-bit STD
          http://passmark.com/ftp/bitstd.exe

          32-bit PRO
          http://passmark.com/ftp/bitpro.exe

          64-bit PRO
          http://passmark.com/ftp/bitpro_x64.exe

          Sorry for the confusion.

          Regards,
          Ian
