Burnintest with BartPE, HDD testing?

Under BartPE and WinPE, the BurnInTest disk test needs to be formatted and have a disk volume letter.

Whilst not exactly the same, our WinPE document covers how to partition a drive to test (this was from a user contribution), you may be able to use a similar approach:

I recently set up BartPE to use Burnintest 6.0. I noticed that the software is unable to test hard drives in the system unless they have been partitioned.

Is there a way to test these raw, or some other quick way to partition these for testing?
