Q. I have a quad core / dual core / dual CPU system, does BurnInTest test all CPUs?
A. Yes. BurnInTest starts test threads for each CPU, CPU core and Hyperthreaded CPUs. This can be seen from the Windows Task Manager (Performance tab).

Also from the help manual, under "Test preferences->CPU tab":
Normal task scheduling will result in threads being dynamically scheduled on the CPU with the least load. In this way the load is spread between all available CPU’s. CPU targeted testing schedules all the threads onto a particular CPU.
I see under CPU tab setting, it says "lock testing to a single CPU".
So, will each CPU core take turn to be tested ?
When I mark Select a CPU, there is 4 CPUs in the drop box.
If I select one, is it only one CPU to be tested?
If yes, how can I test others automatically?
To test all CPU cores just use the default test configuration, Preferences->CPU, Select "Norm task scheduling". This will run a CPU test per CPU core. Try it and look in task manager and you will see that all cores are loaded.
If you change the default CPU preferences to "Select a CPU", then the test is locked to a specific CPU (CPU core). This would be used if you only wanted to test a single specific CPU core. So this is not what you want.
