    I just tried the 7.0 version, and it appears to be a decent application.

    However, regarding the CPU Heat Generation Test; while it may be true that, quote: "At all points of testing, BurnInTest Professional generated a higher temperature than all other tested stress testing software."

    The key is tested. I notice that LinX was not compared against it.

    I tested both on my PC, and I found that LinX was 7° to 8° hotter across all cores.

    All the common apps were tested at the time the page was written.
    Different CPUs behave differently to different algorithms. What CPU type is this? Are you running 32bit or 64bit?
    Also how did you measure the temperature. Different measurement apps can return different measurements, even when running on the same machine at the same time.
