The butterfly test requires details of the test disk geometry (number of sectors, number of cylinders, etc..).

So this error is normal for some mass storage devices where the whole concept of disk geometry doesn't make sense.

There are more details about this test and how to surpress this error it in the BurnInTest help file.

  • Unable to get disk Volume extent information - USB Drive

This error occurs while I launch bufferfly seeking Disk test of my removable USB disk device. No read/write operations on my disk at the same time. Moreover, this phenomena just appears in some PC.
Can I know why this error occurs and how to resolve it? Thanks a lot.
