  • Does BurnTest v8.1 supports Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit environment?

    Dear All,

Our company has purchased 13 desktop PCs which will be installed with the Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit operating system. In each PC installed with the Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit operating system, the BitLocker feature of the Windows 10 Enterprise operating system will be enabled for drive encryption of all data stored in a partition of disk storage of the PC of about 500 GB in size.

    I have the following questions:

    (1) Can the
PassMark BurnInTest v8.1 Professional Edition and Standard Edition be installed and run in the 13 PCs installed with the Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit operating system to test the components of the PCs?

    (2) Can the disk test of the PassMark BurnInTest v8.1 be run against the disk partition which is encrypted with the BitLocker feature of the Windows 10 Enterprise operating system?

Your help is appreciated very much.

Yes. BurnInTest V8.1 supports most variants of Windows 10 including Windows 10 Enterprise, if there is an issue, let us know and we'll look into it. You need 1 license per machine that is running the software, or has the software installed at the same time. You can uninstall the software and move it between machines.

Yes. Shouldn't be an issue. If you run the disk test on a volume, it will use the Windows APIs to read and write to the volume. BitLocker is implemented on the OS level, so the read/write would be encrypted/decrypted by the OS before BurnInTest receives the data to verify.
