I randomly get these messages during testing, but I don't get any detail on what threshhold failed. It isn't in the logs that I can find, although I have SMART logging enabled. How do I find this information?

You should find details of the error in the BurnInTest logs.
You can also run DiskCheckup to view the SMART values,

The only line in the logs that mentions the SMART issue is this:
Disk (C
3 13.818 Billion FAIL 16 SMART Threshold exceeding condition detected.
