  • BurnInTest V9.0 Pro 1011 - Long Run Data Verify failure

    Hello,

We are running BurnInTest V9.0 Pro 1011 on Windows Server 2016. After a long run disk test (over 6 days), we encountered a Data Verify failure after 4833 cycles:

Does this indicate a real disk problem?

    Thank you

Yes. most likely it was a real error. But as data from the disk is read into RAM by the CPU, there is also scope for the real root cause to be elsewhere. e.g. a bad byte in RAM that happened to be being used as a disk I/O buffer. Or maybe a soft error.

With only 1 fault in 6 days it is going to be very hard to track down the real cause.
