Memory Caching

Dears,

In V9- "Improved the speed of the test by enabling memory caching. To replicate the V8 behaviour an option has been added to the test preferences to "Disable memory caching"

By default memory caching is enabled in V9 (release 18th Dec). If i test memory at caching enabled the memory passes.

but I get memory errors in 4GB ram if i select "Disable memory caching"

What should be the ideal setting to test RAM. (Should CPU, 2D, 3D ) be Selected as well ?

In our testing enabling the cache didn't prevent errors from being detected. But it might depend on the nature of the fault.

If you only want to test RAM, then consider MemTest86. Or in BurnInTest turn off all other tests.
