  • Unable to get disk Volume extent information - SD Card

    Hi,
    I am using BurnInTest V6.0 Pro.
    I am getting "Unable to get disk volume extent information" error message when perform "butterfly seeking" in SD Card test.

    Anybody know, how to skip the "butterfly seeking" test in cycle pattern?

    Thanks.

    Butterfly seeking involves quickly moving the magnetic read head on a hard drive from the inner cylinder to the outer cylinder and back again, (if you could see it, it would be like a butterfly's wings).

    So the whole concept makes no sense for a flash card.

    One solution it to edit the BITClassification.txt file to downgrade the error to "NONE".

      Hi,
      Appears the error message following:
      ====================================
      Error loading Error Classification file: line beginning 214
      Some Error text and classifications will be undefined.
      ====================================

      The file BITErrorClassification.txt content:
      ====================================
      ...
      155,"Unable to play the video file.",CRITICAL,156,"Video Codec not supported or audio only.",CRITICAL,
      157,"Configured Parallel port does not exist",WARNING,
      158,"Could not set USB2Test mode",SERIOUS,
      159,"Unable to get disk Volume extent information",NONE, <---- Edit This
      160,"Butterfly seeking test not supported for this disk",INFORMATION,
      161,"Unable to open Physical disk drive for seeking",SERIOUS,
      162,"Seek size requested not equal to actual",SERIOUS,
      ...
      ====================================

      Such an amendment is wrong?

      Thanks for your reply.
