  • 22 SERIOUS-Disk-C: Data Verify ErrorBurnIn Test V9.1 Std

I am new to building PC's. About two weeks ago I built my 1st PC and have been experiencing the Blue Screen of Death from windows ever since. It has been frustrating to have this new machine crash over and over again. Specs as follows:

    AMD Ryzen 2700x
    B450 Tomahawk Max
    Radeon RX 580
    32G DDR4-3200 G-Skill Ram
    C: Samsung 970 Evo 1TB M.2 NVME SSD
    D: Toshiba HDWE140 7200 4TB
    EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750W 80+ Gold
    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Ran the BurnIn Test and got 22 identical errors:

    C: Data Verify failure

Is this really b/c the m.2 ssd drive is bad?! Its brand new and was the most expensive part of the build!

I'm at a loss here really. All of the parts seem to be working correctly.

    Help please.

    Thanks,

Data read from the disk goes from the disk, across the motherboard's PCIe link into the RAM and then into the CPU.
So the data corruption that you see could potentially be the result of failure in the disk, MB, CPU or RAM.
Most likely it is a bad disk however.
I would check the disk's S.M.A.R.T. data, then test the disk in another machine to try and confirm the fault.
