  • USB 3.0 Looback firmware update is suspect - bricked? Also Isochronous does not work

    I got past the firmware update - life is good, BUT

    Isochronous fails.

    Not a show stopper, but surprising.

    Am using V1.4 firmware on Win7 64bit system.

    Should I desinstall drivers and try 32bit drivers?

    Are you using an Intel USB3 chipset?

    If so this is a known issue when using the USB3 plugs in Isochronous mode;

    Q. I'm getting frequent errors in Isochronous mode with USB3Test
    We have found that Intel chipsets will not run the Isochronous test unless the polling interval in the configuration options is set to 4 or 5, currently we do not have an explanation of why this is occurring. Making sure the latest Intel driver was installed did not change the behavior (last driver version checked: 1.0.9.254 August 2013).

    Or if you are trying to use Isochronous mode on USB2 ports;

    Q. "Read error: 0 bytes read" error displayed during isochronous loopback on a USB2 port.
    Isochronous transfer mode on USB2 ports is not currently supported by the USB3 loopback plug.
