  • BurnInTest V9.2(1001) RAM test failed

    Hi,

    I've used Burnintest V9.2(1001)

    test criteria below
    1. Launch BurnIn as Administrator, click Configuration -> Test preference to set every test item option:
    a. Disk: select "Automatically select all fixed drives at the start of testing.
    b. Temp/Battery: Please manual set "Auto Thresholds-CPU/GPU" temp to CPU/GPU throttling temp point, to monitor if system will overheated.
    c. Logging: check “Turn automatic logging” option
    d. RAM: choose “Standard" mode.
    e. Network: select test mode w/ 'Standard Network test'.
    f. Click 'OK' button after above settings done.
    2. Click “Configuration -> Test Selection & Duty Cycles” to set Test cycles: set CPU, RAM, Disk, Sound, Video, 2D, 3D, Network loading to 99%.
    3. Set “Auto Stop after” minutes to 240mins, then click green arrows to start the test.

Test run failed on RAM and error message is "RAM, Memory test failure. Faulty RAM likely."

Because Memory extensive test(F2)/MemTest86/AMD DDR Margin test passed
What could be the possible for this situation?

    Configuration:
    OS: Win10 Pro
    CPU: AMD FP6 R3
    RAM: DDR4 3200 Samsung 4G (only fail 4G, if 4G+4G or only 8G pass)

set CPU, RAM, Disk, Sound, Video, 2D, 3D, Network loading to 99%. ........ ....... only fail 4GB [of RAM]
4GB isn't really enough RAM to run Windows under any high load situation. And the settings you picked will result in very high load. Modern Win10 machines shouldn't really be sold with only 4GB of RAM. Especially as integrated video often consumes 1GB of that 4GB. The user experience will be awful as lack of RAM will cause swapping to disk.

Likely some process or driver failed to allocate enough RAM and crashed.
