does passmark burnin v7.1 support COM port test under baud rate 921.6kbps.

hi admin,
as the title, recentlt i got a piece of COM card, and it supports baud rate up to 921.6kbps, but when i used passmark burnin v7.1 to test the card (set the baudrate to be 921.6kbps), in Win7 32bit OS it happened ”com port detected a receive overrun error” .
in Win7 64bit OS it happened ”error while setting new com port configuration” . so i wondered that does burnin V7.1 support com port 921.6kbps test? thanks

Yes, 921.6kbps is supported in the software. (At least in V8, I haven't checked back in the old V7 release). But to be honest the humble serial port was never meant to run at these speeds. (Should really be using TCP/IP or USB or something else for high speed data transfers).

The receive and send buffers typically aren't very big on COM ports so overrun errors can happen at high speed. Especially if the machine is already under load.
