  • block critical windows errors? -1073741819 0xC0000005 returned by bit.exe

    Hi all,
hope somebody could help me is this issue.

Sometimes bit.exe returns error code 'acces violation' running default RAM and CPU tests.
    My questions:
    - can I run some other application in parallel with bit.exe?
    - what does that settings ' block or allow critical windows errors' really means at Test preferences/Errors tab?

    Thanks!
    Karoly

It is recommended that you don't run other applications in parallel with BurnInTest.

'block or allow critical windows errors' blocks Windows error dialogs from being displayed:
    - The system does not display the critical-error-handler message box
    - The system does not display a message box when it fails to find a file

It does not block a crash in BurnInTest, which is what you appear to have.

I would update to the latest build of BurnInTest. If you still get the crash, please send us the minidump file, typically something like:
    C:\Users\<username>\Documents\PassMark\BurnInTest\ BurnInTest*.dmp

Please compress (zip) and send this file to us:
