    I don't understand how a test result can be both passed and failed at the same time? Thanks

    It looks like you are testing at least 3 USB ports at the same time.

    USB3 - Passed.
    USB1 - Failed.

    The left / right arrows in the top screen shot allow you to select which USB port is displayed. Or you can maximize the size of the window to view several at once.

      Thanks, looks like I made multiple mistakes. The test was not configured properly to test the one port with a loopback plug installed, I was thinking I only performed one test, and I forgot about the left and right arrows which should have tipped me off I did not configure the test properly for just one USB port.
