protection error - Debugger detected

I got an error while running video test from USB key( video files downloaded from passmark and put into the same BIT 5.1 folder).
The below message pops up and " PASSED" appears after a testing time is over.

There are several causes for this error, but the most common is that there is an known incompatibility with the Nero 6 software package and BurnIntest.

The Nero 6 software contains the DivX media codec which uses some poorly thought out copy protection mechanisms. And the 'debugger detected' message actually comes from Divx and not BurnInTest. BurnInTest contains a video playback test and thus makes use of various video codecs, triggering the problem in Divx

The problem can be resolved by uninstalling Nero or upgrading or downgrading the Divx software. BurnInTest is only one of many packages that have this problem with this version of Divx included with Nero.

You can insert an image (via an external link) into a post using the insert image button.

We have also had recent confirmation that Nero didn't fix the probem with Nero 7.

Removing a codec in Windows XP

If you are not using the DivX codec you can uninstall it.

To uninstall a windows codec follow these steps

Go to the START MENU
Select CONTROL PANEL
Select SOUNDS, SPEECH & AUDIO DEVICES
Select SOUND & AUDIO DEVICES

Along the top of the box you will see 5 tabs. You will need to select the Hardware tab.This will then display a list of information. The parts we are interested in is : Video Codecs

Select Video Codecs from the list and then click the Properties button. A new "video codec properties window will open". Select the Properties tab.

You can then (finally) see a list of installed windows video codecs. Normally there are about a dozen codec's installed. You can delete the DivX codec. This should resolve the debugger detected error.
