  • 334 Loops, RAM fail only 1

    Hi Passmark Team,

    A RAM was put on test, started on 22.Apr.16@ 19.15. It gave one error for RAM after 20 cycles. The test RAN till Sat Apr 23 07:15:17 2016. A total of 334 cycle were run on RAM test.

    Error:- Memory (RAM) 334 2.807 Trillion FAIL 1 Error verifying data in RAM

    The summary Error read like this:
    SERIOUS: 2016-04-22 19:59:22, RAM, SERIOUS: Error verifying data in RAM (x 1)



    If we carefully see the log file, it generated one error in RAM after approx 45 mins, but after that, no further error was generated!!! Should I disqualify this RAM ?

    Yes, it is likely the RAM is bad, or at least intermittent.
    But if you repeat the test a few times and you can't reproduce the fault, it might be a soft error.

    Also you should upgrade to the V8.1 release.
