2D 3D Test in Passmark to test RAM on onboard VGA

Hi,

Do we need to test 2D & 3D tests for testing RAM.
a) onboard Display
b) Dedicated Graphics Card/PCIx16 card

If no, then how to ensure testing of RAM reserved by onboard display ?

BurnInTest can test the video RAM via the 2D graphics test.

But many other hardware devices (and BIOS itself) also reserve memory for memory mapped I/O and other data. You can see this in Windows device manager if you "View" the "Resources by Type". Windows itself also uses RAM.
