intel core 2 quad q6600 overclocking

hello.......!
i want to ask about my computer.i have core 2 quad q6600 having one core equals to 2.4 GHz.if i overclock it to 3.0GHz so will i face any problems or concequencies?i mean will it work fine after overclocking it or what???????

The official position from Intel seems to be, "Intel does not encourage overclocking. Doing so will void the warranty from Intel.", "Users must proceed with caution and at their own risk. Intel shall not be liable for the damage of hardware...."
