  • Problem with Windows XP start up.

    Hi
I have this question about my laptop.
When my windows are starting, the microsoft windows logo loads and the green bar passes by only 2 times. Then, the screen becomes black, the blue screen which says that windows are starting up appears for a second, and then the blue welcome screen. The thing is that this happens fast, until the moment the screen becomes black and after when everything takes some time. Even the task bar needs some seconds to appear on screen. Finally the computer shuts down pretty fast without any problems.
Windows won't start normally and i don't understand why. Through the MsConfig i disabled some applications from starting with the boot of my laptop to speed up things. I scanned using antivirus and malware programs but everything was ok. I did a disk defragment, and i even moved the optical memory from disk partition C: to another but still windows need a lot of time to load.

    What else should i check?
Thank you very much, and excuse me for my english.

This doesn't seem to relate to our software in any way?
A slow boot is not uncommon for Windows, especially with slower machines like laptops.
