Installing DiskCheckup and using

I install DiskCheckup, it do not auto run.

Do i need to run it on booting computer by adding short cut in

Start > Program Files > startup

Or default installation will be fine ? With default installation, DiskCheckup only start when i double click on DiskCheckup icon in desktop.

This is correct. We don't want to slow down people's PCs by adding more stuff to the autorun list. There is nothing to stop you doing this manually however.
