Graphics Card query

Hi,
can someone suggest which of these 2 video cards is generally better as I'm currently configuring a Dell xps system and not sure which is the better option. The processor will be an Intel i7 950.

Both are good cards.

But if there is for example a particular game that you play all the time you should also look up benchmarks for that specific game on the Net. Some cards do better at particular games compared to others.

Hi, passmark. Thanks for your reply. Can I also just ask you your advice about what processor i should purchase if i was to take into account all factors, not just performance but value for money also. My options are......

Intel® Core™ i7 processor 920 (2.66GHz,8MB 4.8GT/sec)
or
Intel® Core™ i7 processor 950 (3.06Ghz, 8MB L2 cache, 4.8GT/sec)

What would you personally choose yourself?

i7 920 is better value. But the new i5 is even better value again.
