  • How are the Points working?

If CPU1 got 1000 Points and another CPU2 got 2000 Points.
Is CPU2 now twice as fast?

So a CPU in 10 years might have 12313013413 Points?

How many Points needs to have a CPU more, to be twice as fast?

Yes, twice the score (known as the CPU mark in the PerformanceTest software) is roughly twice the number of operations.

But in real life other issues, like RAM and disk bandwidth and the inability of applications to scale to 4 or 8 cores, means that application performance doesn't increase at the same rate as the CPU mark increases.
