  • Newbie Question - Compairing CPU Benchmark Charts

I am trying to compare 3 CPUs and they show up on separate charts.

    The Pentium Dual-Core E5700 @ 3.00GHz “high end” chart ranked 214
Pentium Dual-Core E5500 @ 3.00GHz is on the “high mid range” chart ranked 256.
The Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz is on the “low mid range" chart ranked 597

Are the rankings relative to each other or only apply to that particular chart?
Or, are all “high end” CPUs higher ranked than all “high mid range” CPUs

    Thanks

Yes, all the CPUs in the "High End" charts are ranked higher than those on "High to Mid Range". The rankings are relative to each other no matter which of the four main charts they are on (High End, High to Mid Range, Low to Mid Rang, and Low End). The charts were getting too large and we had to break them up to make it more readable and user friendly.

If you would like to see all the CPUs' rank and CPUMark on the same page (however, not in graphical form), you can also visit the CPU list page:

    http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php

and order the CPUs by rank.
