WinPE 5.0 (CTRL-ALT-DEL) does not work?

Hello,

I have been working on automating our test process and have things working relatively well with MonitorTest, BurnInTest & KeyBoardTest. I am using the Passmark Winbuilder program to build the WinPE ISO.

The problem I am having is when I try and test the keyboard using CTRL-ALT-DEL keys, it never displays the task manager window nor do I see the DEL key being pressed when using that key sequence. I can see the DEL key being pressed if I only press that key individually.

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience using WinPE 5.0 and had similar issues? Other than that everything works well.

We actually don't know of anyone running KeyboardTest in WinPE.

But the behaviour seems to be the same in the full version of Windows. You don't see the "Del" key press in KeyboardTest when doing CTRL-ALT-DEL. My guess is that the KeyboardTest looses the keyboard input focus and it never gets the message from the O/S to indicate that key press.
