Building a new computer

Hey I'm building a new gaming rig with a budget of around £700-1100 ($1100-1600 quick conversion) and my friend told me this would be a really good set up for this price
intel i7 3770t ivy bridge mainboard
a gtx 670 graphics card
corsair vengeance ram 16gb
and some good power supply 500w+

I was wondering how does that look cost wise and performance wise and whether there is any better options?

Why pick the 3770T instead of the 3770K?
You'll also want a good SSD.
