Acer gaming laptop?

I'm looking for a gaming laptop, something that can run game FPS without freaking out. I want the freedom to be able to play any game I want with my very videogame-oriented friends, but my current computer can hardly run anything. I can't spend more than $1,400 and I'm thinking of the Acer laptop. Thanks for your help.

Are you sure you can't live with a small desktop gaming machine? They are better value for money, can be upgraded, can be repaired and use faster parts.

Well, Acer hasn't famous for any gaming series. I will recommend to check ASUS because ASUS is famous for its high quality gaming series laptops.
