  • Question about buying new PC

    Hi i am a newbie here. I want to buy a PC for gaming purpose. I have about $700
    Please give me some advises.
    Can this PC able to play Skyrim, Dota 2, Borderland 2... full settings.

    You didn't mention what country you are in, and if the price includes a monitor or not. But here are some suggestions to get you started.


    CPU
    Intel Core i7-4770 or
    Intel Core i5-4570


    Video
    Radeon R9 270 or
    GeForce GTX 660


    RAM
    8G DDR3


    Hard Drive
    Samsung SSD 840
    + an additional traditional HDD.


    PSU
    Quality 550W unit.

        $700 Australian dollars isn't the same as $700 USD. So yes it does matter.

        I think you are going to be in a better position to look up prices in Vietnam than I would be. I wouldn't know where to start.

          Actually, this is $700 USD, u can give me the price in USD if can or in Aus is oke too.
          The price in Vietnam and in Amazon...are same same.
          I just want detail names. I understand your suggest above
          You can set price in Aus if you want, i will try to figure it out later.
          I just need advise to build an oke case for gaming with this money.

          gtx 650, 650 TI, 660,660 TI,760 have so many types in many prices.
          Which one is better in my case? And what CPU it go with ?

            Build is OK, but would be better with slightly faster & newer CPU. Also would be better with a SSD if you can afford it.

                As already suggested above I think the Intel Core i7-4770 or Intel Core i5-4570 would be better for gaming, if you can make it fit in the budget. But you are right, getting a good CPU and a SSD in a $700 budget isn't realistic. Something needs to be sacrificed.
