  • Bogus Search commands

I am recording the search terms to the log from zoom on version 8. I am getting some bogus "repetitive" entries. They seem to be coming from specific IP addresses. Two questions:

    1. Is there a way to block the IP addresses from doing the searches (IIS Windows Server)
    2. Is there a way to automatically ELIMINATE these entries from you statistical reporting

    1) If you Google IP blocking in IIS there are option for doing this.
    2) No. As far as Zoom is concerned they look like valid searches.

But this is just the way the internet is nowadays. We are seeing millions of unwanted hits a month on our sites. It is viruses, penetration testing, hacking attempts, SQL injection, out of control search bots, DoS attacks, browser form auto-fills, etc, etc....
A few unexpected searches aren't anything to worry about and it is a game of wack-a-mole.
