  • Benchmarklist of OC cpu's

I have a question about the (overclocked) cpu's benchmark list.
    http://www.cpubenchmark.net/overclocked_cpus.html

What is meant with @3.50 Ghz (for example).

Does this means the Cpu is clocked at this speed for the performance test? Or does it mean the Cpu is meant to run at this speed but it is actually performing higher speeds for the test?

I am not able to find this information

The results in the chart are an average of many machines. So there isn't just a single overclocking clock frequency.

When the CPU names include a clock speed it is the base clock speed of the CPU. (Not the turbo speed and not the O/C speed).

If you mouse-over the coloured bars then you get a small 'tooltip' window popup. This tells you the average overclock the community was running on this CPU, as a percent.

So for example the Intel Core i7-5960X @ 3.00GHz is a good overclocker and you can get an average speed increase of 18.8%.

But admittedly the situation is complicated by the different overclocking modes (base OC or turbo OC, or both).

Thank you. I understand it now
